What is Command Prompt:
Command Prompt ( cmd.exe ), is the command-line interpreter on Windows operating systems. In Windows, Command Prompt is compatible with COMMAND.COM
BTW: Windows PowerShell is a total new and powerful version of Command Prompt.
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 1):
- Press the Windows Start key or Click Start to open the Start Menu directly . For Windows 7/ 8/ Vista/ XP.
- Type cmd and press Enter (or click cmd) to launch the command prompt
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 2):
Directly type cmd in Windows 10 Taskbar ( Ask me anything ) and Press Enter ( or Right-click run as administrator )
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 3):
Press Windows+R to open “Run” box, type cmd and Press Enter (or Click OK)
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 4):
Click Start or Press Windows. Scroll down and expand the “Windows System” folder. Click Command Prompt, or Right-click run as administrator.
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 5):
Press Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt ( For Windows 7/ Vista)
How to Open Command Prompt (Way 6):
Open File Explorer, and then navigate to the C:\Windows\System32
folder. Double-click “cmd.exe” or Rright-click “Run as administrator”
How to Open Windows PowerShell:
In Windows 10
Press Windows+X, or Right-click the windows start menu, and then select Windows PowerShell on it.
In Windows 7
Search powershell in Start Menu search box.
