Taskbar is the most useful feature of Microsoft Windows. If you meet Windows 10/7 taskbar not working or not hiding issue, follow instructions to fix it.

1: Restart Windows Explorer
For Windows 10
Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape to open Task Manager
Click More details
Scroll down to Windows Explorer, Right-click it and click Restart
For Windows 7
Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape to open Task Manager
Right-click explorer.exe, End Process.
File > New Task > Enter explorer
2: Re-logging
Re-logging means Sign out and Login again.
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete , Click Sign out (Windows 10) / log off (Windows 7)
Type the password and login again
3. Windows 10 Taskbar Not Hiding
Verify Your Taskbar Settings. Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar Settings.
Or Press Windows + I to open Settings > Personalization > Taskbar
Make sure Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode is on. If you’re using a tablet, make sure Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode is on.
4. Windows 7 Taskbar Not Hiding
Right-click on taskbar and select Properties. Make sure Auto-hide the taskbar is on.
5. Windows 10 Taskbar Not Working
Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape to open Task Manager
File > Run new task
Type powershell and tick the checkbox
Enter this in Powershell:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Navigate to: C:/Users/username/AppData/Local/ (username is your Account Username)
